My visit to the temple in Dubai

Its almost 4 and half months since i moved to Sharjah... Since then i wanted to visit the temple here and it finally came true yesterday... It is the only Hindu temple in Dubai... This makes my visit a little more special to heart.. :) So my travel consisted of taxi drive, then bus, then walk, and finally a ferry ride to the temple... It was fun... Its almost after so many days did I go to a temple... Had a good dharshan.. though was not allowed to stand and pray more than few seconds... happens when it is the only temple... but my mind was very peaceful after that.. :)

From there I visited the DSF (Dubai Shopping Festival)... It was such a fun to watch such a crowd... Did some shopping and it was almost midnight when I returned back home...

On the whole it was a nice change being outside... :)

what a pain???

Be it a strike for whatever reasons but how much the public are affected.... Its sad that people are not able to go to hospitals, schools... all commodities required for day today life are not available... vegetable prices have shot up like rockets... that too in such a crisis time where people are being kicked out of their jobs... What are people gonna do?????

Anyway its good to see the strike has come to an end...

God save people...

What am i missing?????

Missing home, mom's food, friends, work, radio mirchi, sunday's biriyani, phone calls, messages, get togethers, outing with friends, birthdays, weddings, glass bangles, shopping @ T.Nagar, my dog, my bed, fights with my brother, watching tv with family, hugs from my loved ones, my sarees, train journey, bus journey, long drives, paati's thuvaiyal, idli dosa sambar, mom's muruku, kalkal, rose cookies, samosas, the warmth being at home, gossips with friends, fights for the remote, team outings, team lunch, bike rides, books, flowers......

the list goes on and on and on...............
