Confused..

A person asked for water.. I said "I will bring it." The person asked me "you have cold water???" I said "no as we don't drink cold water. I'll bring you normal water to drink". The person said "then I don't want water."

Now I'm confused as to you want water to quench your thirst.. Why be so particular on cold water? If there was an option of choosing between cold water and normal water and you choose cold water then it's fine. When there is only one option you won't even pick it up for an essential need??? I would even accept this for matters which can wait but thirst too???

I'm only left thinking how this person would decide on crucial matters in life??? Is a personal choice that very important than a basic need??? What kind of a mental state he or she would be? How would they look at others needs/preferences?

I can be easily told off "my choice my life" but still I'm pissed off..

Child is the father of man

"Child is the father of man"

It is just not a statement. I learnt the real meaning of it today.

As I was cooking, I was trying to clear up the kitchen table and by mistake dropped the vessel down. I exclaimed "oh!! My God!!"

My two year daughter who was standing near by coolly said "theriyama panite ma".. Meaning you did it unknowingly.. It was just a mistake..

I stood there shocked at how she saw the whole thing. The patience filled inside my little princess. The maturity she had to tackle the situation.

I was also thinking how I would have reacted if I was at her place. Definitely not like her. I would have brought the roof down. Would have given her a big lecture on how things should be handled blah blah blah..

Felt so little in front of my little one..I would always remember this before reacting next time...

Definitely child is the father of man....

Love you princess!!!!
