I'm so happy today. There are two reasons for it. One is that my best friend is getting engaged to his long time girl friend and i'm very much excited about it. The engagement was fixed one day prior to my visit to India. I was very upset about it. And there came a call from him saying it has been postponed to the day i reach India so that I would be able to attend the engagement. Wow.. i'm so very excited. My joy is boundless. I just dont have the words to explain. :) I feel so nice to have such a great friend who has made me feel special in so many ways. I was the one who first knew about his lady love and now he has got his engagement changed for me. :) TOUCHWOOD!!! I pray we remain such great friends forever. I'm so happy to have found a great friend in him.
May God shower his choicest blessings on them.... :)

Today morning I felt very lazy to make breakfast... so was just lazying around.... but of course i felt very hungry... was simply drinking some water to postpone my getting up from the bed to make breakfast... and my next-door-aunt was making some delicious dish which smelt so damn good... i wished she knocked my door and gives me some to eat... :(
Its how long since i ate something that is not cooked by me.. Everyday i have to cook my own food... man its boring!!!!! How much i liked, mom cook food for me and even serve it on my plate to eat... how much i would wait till she serves it for me... self service was something not in my vocabulary.. :( and now i got to cook.. i got to serve my own food..... grrrrrrr and the agony is i have to eat it alone....
How much i used to hate those idlis... ask me now??? i will do anything for those steaming white idlis...

I still remember telling "ma!! why are you making the same thing again and again? Everyday idli, dosa or chapathi... vera edavadu seyungalen...." Now i spend hours to think what to cook for the next meal... i harldy get any idea... thanks to the samayal blogs.. else i would have become obsolete by now...
A friend of mine from my school days.. She used to be very chubby then... Though we were in touch through phone i happened to meet her when we joined work... We happened to work in the same area... I was shocked to see her so slim and nice... I asked her.. "Hey Sandy epdi di ivlo slim aaite?" She said "Slim my foot... Podi podi... hostel sapadu panna vela..Ippo en amma pullu (grass) platela vaicha kooda naan sapiduven..."..It was then i udnerstood it was not slimming but the effect of being malnourished for four years in her college hostel.... I also feel the same i will eat anything my mom makes without any question... not even to ask her how she made it....
Seriously there is no comparison for home made food... and especially if somebody makes it for you... man its bliss....
I still remember how U aunty used to send me akkaravadisal in a separate tiffin and another tiffin for the rest....

And how can i forget her tasty tasty rice payasam....
man i wish someone cooks for me today and i sit and eat... ok let me go now and make something to eat.. :(((((((((
