Patience is indeed a virtue....
How often do I see others and myself losing temper for things that are not worth? This is more like a chain reaction which instigates others too to lose their plot. As a result, situation is completely out of hand, unfavourable and definitely not pleasant.
A moment's patience could have avoided the whole fiasco. Things would have been much better. Definitely.
It is not that the person, whosoever, losses patience is at fault. It all results due to difference of opinion or the time it takes for one to understand.
All it takes is patience. If only we could take a minute to think rationally we can avoid the whole scenario.
It is easily said than done. Though it also depends on the genes to an extent we can still practice to be patient. We will surely get there.
We would then see a different world. We would have a thousand ears to hear what we say. Thousand hands near by to help us. More importantly how many shoulders to support???
The best thing we would get is PEACE itself. What more does one need?
There are so many proverbs indicating the importance of patience. One for instance is "porumai kadalinum peridu" which means "patience is bigger than the ocean itself... "
One would be able to focus much better when he is patient. They are the ones who etch their names in history.
So what can we do to be patient??
We should try to disconnect ourselves from the moment and think why this is happening. Is there something we can do to avoid it? We might be lucky enough to get a solution.
We can try to be silent for sometime rather than aggravating the moment. Words spoken or things done in a haste or anger can never be corrected/ changed. Instead being silent can do some damage control to an extent.
We can keep our mind relaxed by involving ourselves in some thing we really love to do. Something more like a hobby that helps us to unwind. There by we don't stack tension and burst in an unexpected quarter like a dam that would unleash when there is some crack.
Though there are many other ways these are few ways I see, try and would like to keep trying till I succeed...
