Be nice to everyone!!!
Love thy neighbour!!!
Sharing doubles happiness!!!
These are few of the nice things we grew up learning. Everyone of us must have surely heard this umpteen number of times in our lives. We were left wondering what is so difficult to understand in these simple sentences that they were repeated almost everyday.
Alas! Little did we know then, that they are powerful sentences laid in simple words.
What seemed to be simple while we were small seems to be difficult as we grow up. Indeed the most difficult challenge we can face. We can even successfully build a super robot but live up to these sentences in the true sense.
We were able to make friends black, white, blue, green, pink, purple whilst we were small. We were able to share the most cherished gift, my teddy bear, or things-i-would-think-twice-to-share chocolates or my-prized-possesion bicycle.
As we grew up, all these niceties seem to have flown out of the window. Are we the same we????
Being nice to people turned into pretence. Love thy neighbour turned into keep strangers at bay. The third one need not be discussed at all. Absolutely no space.
Why are we like this? What made us to be such?
Ironically, hatred, envy, partiality, anger, cruelty, selfishness seems to be easy and love the most difficult. Why are we not able to accept people as such? Why being judgemental?
We end up building a wall around us cemented with all these negative feelings.
Love is the only tool with which we can break open the shell around us. It is the only remedy we have to our wounded soul. It is the only hope that can fill us with happiness from within.
Let's try loving people, accepting people for who they are and let's be us.
Let's be human!!!
